Software Update – v.1.12.4 – App update required for Check-Out enhancements

Here at Inventory Hive, we are always looking for improvements to the software, and after listening to feedback from users, our latest update features upgrades to the check-out report comparison process.

Sync down Check-In reports when going offline

There is a new optional check-out sync setting for the iOS/Android app – the Download Comparison report setting. This allows users to select whether to download any completed report that is used as a comparison when setting up a check-out report; the advantages of this setting are:

  • to view previous condition photographs from the check-in report in offline mode without having to copy the images across from one report to another;
  • to be able to view tenant feedback from the check-in report on an item-by-item basis when offline in the check-out report;
  • to be able to view any responses to tenant feedback within the check-out report when offline.

Alter Comparison mis-matches easily

Behind the scenes, we have tweaked how rooms and items are compared, in order to avoid any mis-matches that could sometimes become confusing, when new rooms are added at report level. Where rooms are added at the check-out report level that don’t appear in the original report being compared against, we’ve added a user-friendly interface to allow you to adjust the room and item comparison in a couple of taps.

Item screen layout enhancements

The item screen layout has been improved in order to make sections clearer and a new hide/show collapsible field for each major sub-section of the item screen, which avoids the need to scroll between fields constantly. This is available for all report types, but is especially useful for check-out reports where you have a lot of additional comparison information present.

These upgrades are designed to make the check-out process as seamless as possible, but it is important get your sync settings and report set-up steps right. To help with this, we have created a simple six step guide with embedded links to some snappy guide videos, which you can access here.

We are also running a webinar to take a deep-dive on this update, taking place on Wednesday 23rd August at 1pm for around 30 minutes – register for the webinar here.

App Update Required – PLEASE READ

Our browser version updates have been pushed-live already – so there’s no action required there (happens automatically). An update is required to install the latest features on your iOS or Android devices though, which can be accessed here for convenience: iOS (Apple) Appstore found here and; Android Google Playstore found here.

Please ensure that you update your app version (if auto-updates are not installed on your device) otherwise you will not be able to take advantage of these features on the older app version.
