Document Serving, Fixflo Integration, Jupix Feed, Custom App Re-Skinning & More – Update v.1.10.9

We’re totally obsessed about creating the best paperless property reporting software on the market with the best customer service. To achieve this we never stand still and always keep moving with our in-house development.

v.1.10.9 is our 8th release this year and by far our biggest to-date with a host of powerful new features – App update required: Visit iOS AppStore or Google PlayStore today. What’s more, there’s no extra cost to our existing users for these new features – meaning our monthly or annual subscriptions just keep getting better. To mark the significance of this update, we’ve even introduced a fresh new logo – modern and slick (just like us).

Webinar introductions to these new features will follow by email in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here’s a short summary about what’s under the hood in v.1.10.9:

Pre-Arrival Document Serving

Our paperless InventorySign® workflows now include the ability to upload, snap and serve important pre-arrival documents in the form of images and PDFs via browser or iOS/Android App. This process is simple to use, but adds another layer to the increasing synergy between condition/cleanliness reporting and tenancy compliance.

In short, you can evidence tenant’s safe receipt of documents before moving-in. Such documents are then recorded in the final PDF by way of a link to the online document for the life of the tenancy, along with date stamped and timed signatures. We provide a default menu of documents to choose from, which includes tenancy compliance documents in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.  For example:

  • Gas Safety Certificate
  • How To Rent Guide
  • EPC
  • Deposit Protection Information
  • Electrical Safety Certificate
  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Private Residential Tenancy Statutory Terms (Scotland only)

If there’s a general document you’d like to serve within the process, there’s also a bespoke option to add ‘Other’ documents. For example, the ‘Fire Evacuation Procedure’ in an apartment block etc.

Fixflo Integration

This one is definitely by popular demand! Fixflo is perhaps the most successful software story within the PRS and Block Managed sectors in recent years. Our users can now choose to send Fixflo maintenance issues raised by tenant’s during our move-in InventorySign® feedback cycles and also via the App during interim visits and check-outs.

For our inventory clerk users, we also have some unique Fixflo tools in which they can leverage to enhance the service they provide their clients. That’s an intentional curiosity gap right there! Contact Us to find out more.

Jupix Property Data Feed

This is the first in a series of property data feeds and APIs arriving soon. Essentially if you’re using the Jupix platform this feed will allow users to:

  • Grab all property address data from JUPIX every day.
  • Choose to Include the main JUPIX property image – which is assigned to the front cover of your reports (on a per branch basis).
  • Map your JUPIX branches to those in your subscription.
  • Map JUPIX property types to pre-defined templates within your subscription (on a per branch basis).
  • Choose which property status types are to be included in the feed (on a per branch basis).
  • Choose which similar properties across platforms to overwrite.
  • Four week feed log (allowing you to check feed status).

In short, the above streamlines setup with automated templates added – thus avoiding time sapping data entry, whilst also avoiding the risk of adding properties more than once (it happens).

Custom Branded App Re-Skinning

This feature is only available to our ‘Custom Branded‘ add-on users – re-skin our iOS/Android App at a truly market leading price to make it yours.

Touch & Face ID Login

Login with ease using your fingerprint or face (Face ID requires supported device).

Camera Upgrade

In addition to our quickfire snapping, users can now zoom-in and out at the same time whilst using this tool, which is ideal if you have short arms?!

Bug Fixes & General Improvements

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference, so we’ve listened to user feedback and squashed some bugs, whilst tweaking some steps here and there. Please note, no real bugs were hurt in the making of this App!

  • Re-ordering rooms was moving-up the entire screen on certain mobile devices – now fixed.
  • Properties were previously being filtered by their ‘Reference’ number as default, meaning new properties did not show at the top of this list (annoying). This has now been amended to default as the ‘Created’ date (that’s better).
  • Renaming rooms on standalone interim visit reports and check-outs was previously not possible.  This was originally by design to avoid tampering of ‘before’ and ‘after’ reports. As this is not relevant with standalone reports though, this has now been changed – renaming is now available on these reports.
  • Important: This extract is from our ‘Device Maintenance’ support article: As a rule of thumb, we recommend ensuring at least 3GB (more the merrier) of spare storage capacity is available on the device.  It’s important to keep an eye on storage and maintain it – prevention is better than cure.  We say this because often, devices will only warn you that storage is low when it’s full or almost full (too late) and we can’t salvage offline data if the device logs-out your session without warning (beyond our control). Update: We have now introduced a low storage warning message on the iOS/Android App.  If device storage levels fall below 3GB a warning message will appear. We strongly recommend the following steps if this message appears: Connect to WiFi/4G > Sync-up any offline data > Free-up some storage space before creating more offline reports. When deleting pictures to free-up space you’ll also have to visit the storage settings on the device, because often they archive the pictures first and you then need to confirm permanent deletion (2 step deletion process).
