Supercharged Online Usage, SMS Alerts & Easy Access 360 Upload
In order to save on mobile network data charges, majority of our users prefer to work in offline mode when using the Inventory Hive App (iOS or Android). This enables them to sync with WiFi at their convenience, whilst also not worrying about working in areas with poor signal. Having said that, recently we have received numerous requests for the App to work faster in online mode…
So we briefed our in-house development team and they’ve come-up with a clever solution that enables background syncs – meaning users are free to create reports online at a supercharged pace! Essentially this means that users working online are in constant connection with the Hive (cloud server) – meaning no syncing is required at the end of the day. There’s also some other neat advantages. Such as two users working in collaboration on the same property inventories at the same time.
Features Update Summary
We’ve thrown in some other new toys with this update. Here’s an overall run-down on what’s new:
- Faster Syncing Speeds: Data chunk downloads to speed-up the process.
- Supercharged Online Use: Server upload works behind the scenes for quickfire online usage.
- Automated Tenant SMS Alert: In addition to being able to control your reminder alert timings (Settings > Notifications) SMS alerts now also trigger automatically at the beginning of the process to encourage faster tenant responses.
- Easy Access 360 Photo Upload: Upload 360 degree images from a new room overview screen button.
- Canned Description Summary: Canned description choices now reveal underneath for an easy reference point.
